Get started in just a few minutes
Select your operating system and follow the steps to install.
Installing on macOS
- Open the zip, if your Mac has not already done it for you. It gives you SoundofHymns.
- Drag SoundofHymns into your Applications folder.
- Open it. The hymns are unpacked the first time; the window says what it is doing.
The first time it opens
Until the builds are signed, the computer asks about any application it does not know yet. You answer once.
macOS 15 Sequoia or newer
- Double-click the application. macOS refuses and offers only Done; click it.
- Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and scroll down to Security.
- Beside "SoundofHymns" was blocked, click Open Anyway, then Open.
macOS 14 Sonoma or older
- Control-click (or right-click) the application in Applications.
- Choose Open from the menu, then Open again in the dialog.
Installing on Windows
- Run the installer and follow it through.
- Open SoundofHymns from the Start menu. The hymns are unpacked the first time it opens.
The first time it opens

If Windows says it protected your computer
- Choose More info, then Run anyway.
Installing on Linux
- Install the libraries it needs. On Ubuntu or Debian: sudo apt install libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0 libasound2 libcurl4
- Unpack the archive wherever you keep applications. It gives you Sound of Hymns.
- Open it. The hymns are unpacked the first time; the window says what it is doing.
