End User License Agreement

Effective November 3, 2026

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between SOUNDOFHYMNS LLC ("SoundofHymns," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company, and the individual or organization ("you" or "User") installing or using the SoundofHymns application ("Software").

By selecting "I Agree" during installation or first launch, you accept this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not install or use the Software.

If accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization to this Agreement.

1. License Grant

SoundofHymns grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on Windows, macOS, or Linux, subject to this Agreement.

The Software is licensed, not sold. Licenses are available to individuals and organizations.

2. Subscription Plans and Device Limits

SoundofHymns offers Free, Standard, and Premium access tiers, and a one-month Demo for new accounts.

  • Demo: Every Premium feature for one month on a new account, at no cost, after which the account moves to the Free tier unless a paid plan is chosen.
  • Free: Access to features included in the Free tier.
  • Standard: Use on one computer at a time. Users may sign out and into another computer to use.
  • Premium: Use on up to two computers under the same subscription.

Users must comply with their subscription's device and account-sharing limits.

Paid subscriptions are available on monthly and annual billing cycles and automatically renew unless canceled, subject to the terms disclosed at purchase.

3. Subscription Expiration and Offline Use

SoundofHymns can be used offline. When the Software is online, it confirms your paid subscription with our servers; each confirmation lasts 14 days, and the Software renews it by itself whenever it is online.

If the Software has not been able to confirm the subscription within that time, because it has been offline or because the subscription has expired, it shows a notice and keeps the paid features for a further 30 days. After that, it moves to the Free tier until the subscription is confirmed again. A hymn or service already playing is never interrupted.

When a paid subscription expires and is not renewed, paid features therefore remain available only until the last confirmation and its 30-day notice period have ended, and then become unavailable until the subscription is renewed.

Subscription payments, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the applicable Terms of Service.

4. Permitted Use and Account Responsibility

SoundofHymns may be used for personal, religious, educational, organizational, and professional purposes, including worship services, rehearsals, weddings, funerals, and paid events.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts and notifying SoundofHymns of suspected unauthorized access.

Users are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for the public performance or other use of copyrighted musical works.

5. MIDI Files and Musical Content

SoundofHymns is a software platform designed to play and manage MIDI files. SOUNDOFHYMNS LLC is responsible for the development, operation, and functionality of the Software but does not claim ownership of third-party musical compositions, arrangements, or MIDI files.

To the best of our knowledge, the musical works and MIDI files made available through SoundofHymns are in the public domain or are used with permission from the respective rights holders.

SoundofHymns currently utilizes MIDI files created by third parties. The accuracy, musical arrangement, and quality of the resulting accompaniment depend on the underlying MIDI files. Accordingly, SoundofHymns does not guarantee the musical accuracy, completeness, or quality of third-party MIDI content and is not responsible for deficiencies inherent in such files, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Users may download eligible MIDI files through the SoundofHymns website or any other website ensuring they agree to copyrights and terms of use. SoundofHymns does not grant redistribution, resale, or commercial exploitation rights to third-party MIDI files.

Users may import their own MIDI files and are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights to use them.

Recording or exporting audio generated by SoundofHymns is not permitted under this Agreement.

Users wishing to contribute MIDI files to the SoundofHymns library must contact us and agree to a separate contribution agreement.

SoundofHymns reserves the right to remove or restrict access to any musical content where copyright concerns, legal requirements, or security issues arise.

Copyright-related inquiries or concerns may be directed to support@soundofhymns.com.

6. Intellectual Property and Restrictions

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
  • Circumvent licensing, activation, or security mechanisms.
  • Share accounts or licenses beyond their authorized limits.
  • Use the Software for unlawful activities.

7. Updates and Support

Software updates are included with active paid subscriptions.

SoundofHymns provides reasonable technical support without guaranteeing specific response or resolution times.

SoundofHymns may modify or improve features, subject to applicable law and contractual obligations.

8. Suspension and Termination

SoundofHymns may suspend or terminate a license for material violations of this Agreement, fraud, or security abuse, with appropriate notice where practicable and legally required.

Upon termination for a violation, the user's right to use the Software may end.

Expiration or cancellation of a paid subscription does not terminate Free-tier access unless the user's license or account is separately terminated for a valid reason.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SoundofHymns is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoundofHymns LLC’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this agreement or the software shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by the user during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory of liability, including contract, tort, or negligence, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Dispute resolution procedures and jurisdiction shall be finalized following legal review.

13. Changes to This Agreement

SoundofHymns may update this Agreement. Material changes will be communicated through email or in-app notifications before taking effect.

Additional consent will be obtained where required by law.

14. General Provisions

If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain effective.

Failure by SoundofHymns to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of its rights.

This Agreement, together with any applicable incorporated terms, constitutes the agreement governing the license and use of the Software.
